We had another fun and DRY Halloween this year!
Kenny of course chose to be yet another Star Wars character...a Jedi. Carley...a dalmatian dog. Auriel to be exact who is a fire fighter dog here. She even has the picture she was given by the firefighters that visited her school. And Lauren chose to be Silvermist, a fairy from the Tinker Bell movie. She insisted on the wig!

Can I tell you how happy I was NOT to be in charge of the Ward Halloween Party!!! They did an awesome job without me, no surprise. I loved my stress free Halloween.

On to pumpkin carving. We chose not to do the puking pumpkin this year. Kenny chose to do the "iron man" looking face, Lauren designed the face for her lil pumpkin and I helped her draw it on, and I did the "man looking out the window" pumpkin at a Laurel activity. It actually won a prize for the scariest pumpkin at the ward party. Woo hoo!

On Saturday, we joined Michael and Bekah at their ward Halloween party. It was our first time seeing our newest niece, Eden. Aevyn was the cutest lion ever and Bryn was a very wise owl. So wise she kept escaping my camera. Or I should say I couldn't catch any with her sweet face in it.

Mark stepped on a slug on the way in from lighting our pumpkins which led to a search for some others. We found this one on the porch and Mark being Mark just had to burn the slug. He held the flame over all of the slug for quite awhile watching it try to inch in to get away from the flame. The slug kept on moving and wasn't there in the morning. I don't know how it survived...or at least survived long enough to escape our porch.

I love this picture of Aevy smiling at the mess she made.

Kenny checking out Eden. He was making her smile, too bad I couldn't catch it!

My proof that I got to see Eden at least once before they move away next week. I was holding her to get her to hold off on eating. What can I say, I've got the magic touch...she just crashed.

Lauren feeling brains at the Spook Alley.
It wasn't so scary for the big kids as they could see over the walls and such.

Well, I take that back. Here is Carley when she spotted a strange man sitting in the corner. She immediately crouched down and wouldn't go any further. She never made it through.

After the party we came home so we could "Trick or Treat" in our own neighborhood. We only made it down two streets before they wanted to quit. We're going to have to work on our endurance. :-) I think their favorite part of the night was handing out candy to their neighborhood friends and getting to see all their costumes. Seriously, they were soooooo excited about doing this!

Great pic! Love the costumes, especially the Spider-Man!
Love the pics! Silvermist is totally Alyssa's favorite too! She was excited to see someone dressed up with a "silvermist wig".
Whoa! That "scary" picture just made me fall out of my chair! Okay...maybe that was a SLIGHT exageration but it WAS pretty frightening!
Cute pictures! Glad you have a geat time!
Love the costumes! Glad you had a good Halloween.
How fun!!! I'm happy for you for not being in charge of the ward party! ha :) I love the pictures. My favorite is Lauren in the wig. So funny. The Iron Man pumpkin was really impressive, too!! WOW!!!
Isn't Halloween the best? I got a kick out of Lauren at the Ward Halloween party. Carley made Miranda's day yesterday, and she told us in no uncertain terms, we are not going out of town on Friday:)
What great costumes. I love it! Micheal and Becka's baby is a doll...well all their girls are. Where are they moving?
Ok... Kaid Had SUCH a Great time. I just have to say.. Thank you , thank you, for being such awesome parents, To have kenny come and look for kaid, then ask to play with him, really brought tears to my eyes. I just love him to pieces. When kenny and I were walking to find kaid, he said, " you know there's a boy with DS, at my school," I said, oh that's great, what's his name. he looked at me, and said, " oh, I dont need to know his name, I just know he's cool". Really karen, you really have set an example to me, that not all kids are going to be mean to kaid. I have cried.. so much worrying about him fitting in, and whenever kaid has a chance to " Fit in" It just makes my heart sing.
So.. Sorry this is So long, I just wanted you to know.. I showed kaid this blog tonight, and he was SOO excited.. pointed to kenny's picture, and siging " Happy "
loves..
