Pumpkin Carving

We did a little pumpkin carving last night and ya, we did the puking pumpkin again. I just can't resist. Kenny took most of the pictures.

Carving the puking pumpkin.

The puke.

Carley chose a cat.

The finished product minus the puke coming out of the mouth. The little one is Carley's pumpkin that she picked when she went to the pumpkin patch with her class.

Primary Program

These cute kids took part in our Primary Program today. Kenny did a fine job despite his hacking cough and even took part in a small group song.

Carley did much better this year. She went right up with the rest of the kids and delivered her lines without any hesitation. This was a big step compared to last year. She has yet to say the prayer, give a scripture, or say a talk during sharing time. This includes coming up to just help out during a song or game. We are very proud that she did this without any worries, complaining or shyness. She truly has become a new person since kindergarten started.

Lauren who has never been shy also delivered her line beautifully. I can proudly say I could hear her sing all of the primary songs loud and clear even when the congregation joined in. I now understand why she was saying her throat was sore after the practice yesterday. For the most part she actually sounded great though there were times when it was.....well, comical and you could see me get the shakes from laughing inside.

You've got to love Primary Program Sunday!

The Winner is....

The show last night that wins the prize of making me roll in laughter goes to....How I Met Your Mother. Surprisingly, it beat out The Big Bang Theory by a landslide. My favorite parts were:

I do not like that stupid hat
I want to beat it with a bat
Or maybe stab it with a fork
It makes you look like such a dork

and the R2-Sweet tooth comment.
Really, all of the intervention parts made the list. Very clever!

Leaves are a changin....

and I'm loving it!

The Crazy Things Mark Comes Home With...

that I benefit from.

Now all I need are some plaid pants and I will be sporting the Sheldon look from The Big Bang Theory. Anyone watch that hilarious show?
