Sew fun!

My sister Harmony made my girls some shirt dresses that are so dang cute.

With friends in the ward also showing off their really cute skirts and dresses that they made for their kids, I really got the itch to sew. I started off looking at patterns on the Internet to find something that I might be able to pull off and found the twirly skirt tutorial. It looked cute and easy and I wouldn't have to pay for a pattern so off to the fabric store to see what I could see. Yesterday I went to work and whipped up two skirts for my girls. I had forgotten how fun it is to sew (straight lines, no buttons or zippers). I originally was going to make them to wear for Easter but got done so early and had so much fun, I just might have to make them some dresses instead. :)

ADORABLE!!!! I love Harmony's and yours both. Twirly skirts are the best ever! Every girl needs at least one. Where did you get the pattern??? I need to make one for Belinda!!

Karen, The skirts are so cute. You did a great job! I love how they coordinate but are so different. You have a great eye. I really love the fabric on Carley's. Feel free to sew for my girls when the itch returns ;)

So cute Karen! I can't believe you whipped these out in a day. You are amazing. I should hire you to make one for Kaitlyn, I've been looking for a cute skirt for her forever.

Very cute indeed! Great job Karen! I think I'm going to start making Emily's skirts. She's getting so tall I can't find skirts for her anymore that are long enough. Oh, but you should see her play volleyball...I think I'm going to have a V-Ball star on my hands!
