I hate to post again cuz it means I'm pushing down those cute faces of my nieces and nephews from the last post. I can't get enough at looking at those pictures! But I have to post about our little weekend get away a couple of weekends ago.
Mark surprised me with a trip to Eugene to watch UO and ASU play volleyball. You know Mark really loves me to do this, either that or he really wanted to get out of town and sleep in a hotel with three crazy kids.
The trip started off well as you can see from this first picture. Classic car fun. The funniest part was Mark putting on my broken sunglasses. He lost his a few weeks ago so I pulled my broken ones off the floor. Doesn't he look so cute?

The broken side and lens is completely smashed up against his eye. It's hard to see in pictures but it sure had me laughing.

As soon as we got to Eugene we went swimming in the hotel pool...always the best part according to the kids. Dinner was great too but it was the game that got me going. Oh how I love volleyball, and watching it in person was great!!!

This girl's serve was amazing. She had a mean spike too!

We might have come home with this ball. It got hit into Mark during the warm-ups after their half-time. Mark was ready to through it back to the ball guys but they took the basket and balls and headed off the court. Carley took it from Mark and laid her head on it for the last two sets. Needless to say, when we left Carley was still holding that ball. You get to keep any balls you catch right?

The next day we swam again before heading home. Carley is seen here saving Lauren from drowning...a little game they like to play.

Kenny's way of floating

The kids were not thrilled about getting out of the pool to head home. Lauren has a mean "stink eye" don't you think?

Carley had enough of me taking pictures. Just try to stop me Carley!

That might work...

On our way home we stopped off at the McMinnville Air Museum, home of the Spruce Goose.

Your whole family is hilarious. I'm glad you all had such a fun time! :)
That looks like a really fun time! I always love the pictures of your kids at the pool--they are so cute and so funny. I loved seeing the Spruce Goose, too!! I agree--it's not the most exciting museum ever, but seeing the Spruce Goose is just amazing. I only wished I could have somehow gotten a picture of the whole thing! That was my only regret. ;)
Looks like a blast Karen! You're kids are so funny, they pose for the best pics. :)
ooh that makes me miss "real" competitive volleyball!! what a fun last minute trip!
I would LOVE to see some great college volleyball LIVE! Did I ever tell you that one of my old room mates played for ASU? She had a full scholarship but ended up having knee surgery and didn't play when she lived with us. How fun for you though. Glad you got to do that!
