Because the party was not on the actual 4th of July, we invited friends over to our house for dinner and fireworks. This is the first time doing our own fireworks in front of our house. I finally got to see what a mess it actually makes. We'll be finding cardboard pieces and such for weeks!
We had a blast celebrating our country's birthday and are so glad to live here and enjoy our freedom!
We have GREAT friends with some really cute babies!
Lauren is sad because her sparkler has run out.
Matt holding his nose. He couldn't figure out to turn around so the smoke wouldn't blow into his face.
Here are a few videos. Take note of the sounds. Fireworks were going off all around the neighborhood and city for that matter.
This next video starts with a firework from around the corner. I don't know where they purchased their fireworks, but they were HUGE!
This last one pans off to the kids and their chanting at the end.
Carley and Katie (the youngest seen here) were terrified of the fireworks so they stayed inside and watched a movie. Kaitlyn (the one in the middle) had NO fear but joined the two scaredy cats at the end.
