A Harry Thanksgiving

It was a lonely but enjoyable Thanksgiving this year.  Our usual holiday friends were out of town and we didn't have any takers on family visiting so it was just the 5 of us.

We decided to make it a Harry Potter Thanksgiving...having our own mini Harry marathon.  We are terrible parents and finally let the girls watch the last movie at the end of the night.  They were quick to tell us the following morning that they didn't have any nightmares so I guess it was all good.

 Don't they look thrilled?

Mark cooked yet another amazing turkey this year.  Words can not express his brilliance in cooking.  Just know, you all missed out.  Surprisingly the turkey was not my favorite of the menu.  Mark decided to make a chipotle sweet potato dish.  HEAVEN, that's what it was, pure heaven.  Unfortunately or fortunately the kids were not a fan of the dish.  That's OK, more left overs for ME!

We missed family and friends but we did enjoy making less food/dishes and having a relaxing day at home.  We are full of gratitude for all our blessings and hope your Thanksgiving was as wonderful and blessed as ours.

I don't know where I fit in the "terrible parents" scale, but Ethan's going to watch movie 8 (as soon as we buy it). My requirement is that he had to read the book first, and I actually read it with him, but I don't think I could live with myself if I didn't let him watch the last movie. LOL Sounds like a fun Thanksgiving!! And the amazing food can't hurt either! Nice work, Mark.

My kids can't wait to see that one, especially JJ. Clearplay hasn't released the filter yet but when they do we're doing a HP Marathon too. Glad you guys had fun. We really missed you at Jim's. It's been WAY TOO LONG since we've seen you!
