Lauren's 8th Birthday started off with doughnuts from Dots.
Kenny made Lauren a Birthday hat out of K'nex.
Lauren chose to go to the Portland Saturday Market. We ran into a friend while there who was kind enough to give the kids these really neat horse whistles.
Pizza for lunch, Mmmm!
The birthday bag from Grandpa and Grandma.
And gift card.
We went to a matinee showing of Hugo and then to one of our favorite sandwich shops, Philly Bilmo's.
Onto the presents...
Lauren says this almost every morning.
Lauren has had an interest in doing hair lately. This was the perfect gift.
The loot.
Digging in.
Styling
Lauren has also been all about peace. She chose where to put the candles...
making it hard to blow out!
Yum!
The following day was Baptism day! Lauren has been excited for this special day for a LONG time. It was extra special having Grandpa and Grandma Ray here.
Aunt Harmony made this princess dress for Lauren. It turned out amazing and was the talk of the evening.(Aside the baptism, of course)

I can't believe she's really 8! That is amazing. Tell her congratulations from us! Wish Ethan & I had been there. She looks beautiful--the dress is a knock-out. I'm so happy for her--what a special day!! Great birthday, too.
