Kenny turned 13 while Mark and I were on a cruise. (pictures of the cruise to come when we get all the pictures from the cruise party)
How nice of us to be gone for Kenny's momentous event! He did have a party before we left. Kenny decided he wanted to watch a movie with his friends and play Dodgeball. We obviously didn't have room to do this in our house so we went to the church and showed the movie on the projector.
None of the boys had ever played an organized game of Dodgeball, nor were they really interested in doing so. Instead, they just randomly threw balls at each other. Whatever!
Kenny is not a fan of cake so we had cheesecake instead. Oh how I love cheesecake!
The night before our cruise we had Kenny open his presents.
Kenny LOVES sushi so we bought the equipment he needs to make it at home. He was surprised and excited. Yep, he's one of a kind!
The family Kenny stayed with while we were gone spoiled Kenny on his special day. The family the girls stayed with took the girls over to see Kenny on his actual birthday with a gift as well. Good friends are hard to come by and we have found loads of them here in Washington. It makes living away from family so much easier.
Happy 13th Kenny!

Oh my goodness, happy birthday, Kenny!! :) I love that he still has that same grin I remember when he was 8. What a great kid.
That ALMOST ties with Jourdan's Christmas gift for most unusual gift for a teenager. (Jourdan got bone meal and insecticidal soap for Christmas - at his request.) I love that neither of our boys are completely "typical". Yay for "mold-breakers"! Happy birthday Kenny.
Happy Birthday to Kenny! Love it that he likes cheesecake instead of cake. Fun party!
