Halloween!

First up was the ward Halloween party.  Mark and I actually dressed up with some friends this year.  Here are the actual characters from one of my favorite shows.

Here is our interpretation:

This year's party was pretty exciting.  We invited some neighbors and that was FUN!  We also had a "Spook Alley" which wasn't so much fun for some.  I LOVE to be scared and I LOVE haunted houses and such, I just don't think they belong at church.  And judging from some spooked and crying kids (not mine), they didn't like it either.  Besides that new excitement, the fog machine set off the fire alarm.  Hilarious and loud.  Luckily most of us were outside for the "trunk or treat" when it went off.  It was a memorable night for sure.

On Halloween night, Kenny had some friends of over for pizza and a scary movie.  When everyone arrived, they decided to play Axis and Allies instead.  It was intense broken up with turns to the door to hand out candy.

Meanwhile, I took Carley and Lauren and two of their friends trick or treating.

We ran into a few scary houses...

But this one took the cake.  After getting pass this creepy thing, there was an actual person with a knife on the porch.  All but Lauren ran away.  Lauren still wanted to trick or treat at this house, the others were D-O-N-E!!! So we headed back towards home.

This was Tia's house.  Her dad had disco blaring as he answered the door with his clothes on backwards.

Next we dropped off Emmy.  Her mom, the mad scientist.

Needless to say, we have a fun neighborhood for trick or treating.  Especially when they give out full size candy bars.

Can't forget the pumpkins...Creeper from Minecraft and a monster.

Wow! I love the group costume--that is so hilarious! And I totally agree with you on haunted houses not belonging in a church. Not good. Not appropriate. But, wow, your neighborhood was crazy!! Amazing! The dude on the porch with the knife reminds me of something I saw on pinterest that said "Halloween is by far the safest day to kill a person and leave them in a chair on your front porch."
