After Turkey day, we spent a lot of time together as a family doing shopping and exploring the area (We took a drive down the Columbia Gorge). The tradition is after Thanksgiving you have to turn on the Christmas radio station. By Saturday, Lauren realized the car was only playing Christmas music and asked Mark why. He told her that we were listening to Christmas music because "Christmas is coming, it is the next holiday!" To which Lauren replied, "How does the car know?" I figured Mark would then explain how the radio works and about radio signals, etc. Instead he says, "because I told the car." He then goes on to say, "I will have to remember to tell the car when it is your birthday so you can hear the Happy Birthday song all day." The problem now is that if Lauren remembers, I'm either going to have to buy a CD with the Happy Birthday song or we will have to not use the car that day. Good going Dad! Notice I didn't mention telling her the truth on how the radio actually works.

If she's anything like my kids, you'll have to get a "Happy Birthday" CD!!
Hey Karen!
Love your new page! You are such an inspiration to me! I'm glad to hear your Thanksgiving turned out so well. I missed you!
Love,
Chris
your blog looks adorable!!! that is such a cute picture of Lauren- she is so pretty! This story really makes me laugh!
That is soo cute! I believe Lauren is possibly the cutest girl ever! She is very photogenic! What a cute story. Fun too that Dad played along. Usually when my kids ask something like that Chad (Electrical Engineer) gives us a 45 min. lecture with all the details and engineering lingo that goes right over our heads! Be happy for a Daddy who "made Lauren's Day"
that is so funny!! hope you guys are doing well in the cold!
Love the new look, too!!!
love that you got the vanity...can't wait to see it...love the picture of your cute little girl and...love that your husband encourages a great imagination...the world of unreality can be so fun!
I LOVE your new blog layout...WAY CUTE!! Lauren is such a cutie...and I agree...kudos to dad for encouraging her imagination...and if it is a problem...let HIM find the Happy Birthday CD!!:)
Very funny. Leave it to Dad to make it more difficult for Mom later.
