Slave to the TV

We got a phone call a couple of weeks ago saying we have been selected to be a part of . . .
We thought it would be great to give our input of what shows we think are worth watching. We accepted and received an envelope yesterday. I didn't realize what we were actually in for. We will have to document which shows we watch on each TV including, channel number, station name, show/movie name, the time it aired, who watched it in our family, etc. They of course give us a booklet so we can log everything. It's going to take some time (like we don't waste enough time just watching the TV). One problem we are going to have to deal with is that you can not log what you record on the DVR, only what you watch live.
Let me just give a quick shout out for DVR's!
They are awesome and are actually a time saver with skipping over all the commercials. We usual watch shows later in the evening after they have recorded or we watch them the next night while recording the shows for that evening (If that makes sense.) I love not having to watch commercials and being able to skip over all the commentary on those realty shows. I guess we will have to suck it up and watch shows live for a week. So it starts tomorrow and goes for eight days. Wish us luck!

I'm with ya on the DVR. I almost don't even know how to watch "live" tv anymore. I hate all those commercials!

good luck...do you get anything great for participating?

Yes! We got thirty dollars cash in the envelope which Mark quickly gave to me for the work I was going to do in logging everything. His subtle way of telling me he's not going to write down a dang thing!

We did that same survey about a year ago. It was a pain! It was such a relief when it ended!! Have fun with it!

Thank you for your advice on the vacuum. My mom suggested the same one...lol...it must be a good vacuum! I'm super excited to have a vacuum that works!
Have fun with your survey...do you get anything for doing it?

That's cool. I always wondered who did those Nielsen Ratings surveys. I don't know how I would ever live without DVR--I don't remember the last time I watched anything on live TV.
