So another week has come and gone. This summer is really going by way to fast!!! This week Kenny had scout day camp and I got to help out on Tuesday...so fun but so tiring (forgot camera). Wednesday was our 14th wedding anniversary. We started off by having a flat tire which really put a damper on things as it was stressful and made Mark more behind at work. But the day got better, thank goodness. Bekah, Bryn and Aevyn came over to play...so fun! They had one extra seat in their car so they invited Lauren to spend the night for a couple of nights. Lauren and Bryn are the best of friends so you know this is exciting times. I struggled having Lauren gone so long though. Being without kids during our Hawaii trip was fine cuz we were in Hawaii, but going about my daily routine, I definitely felt the loss of not having her with me. Back to our anniversary though (before this loss kicked in of course), We went to Salty's which is a nice Seafood restaurant on the Columbia River. The food was deeeelish! We then headed off to Big Al's to bowl. This is something we have always enjoyed doing but only get to do about once a year. I was disappointed that I couldn't keep up my wii bowling average. :( We then took a drive along the Columbia river, something else we have always enjoyed doing (again, no camera). Back to Lauren, she had a blast! I'm surprised she wanted to come back home. Bekah of course is much better about pictures so here are some from their cooking session:

Doesn't look like they're having fun, does it?

By the way, they have clown face paint on.

Our stake puts on a huge Pioneer Celebration every year and Michael and Bekah joined us, we had to get Lauren back somehow! ;) We enjoyed good food, very good food considering the crowd they were serving, and lots of games. Among the things to do were: face painting, fishing booth, cake walk, obstacle course, bounce house, tug-o-war, balloon toss, softball, Frisbee, dutch oven tasting, bike parade and so much more (my brain is hurting trying to think of it all). This time I did take my camera but missed allot of shots while getting charged batteries. I realized when I got home that they were mostly of Carley. Mainly because Kenny kept taking off with his friends and I couldn't find him and Lauren was off with Bryn.

The Dukes of Hazard shot.

And finally, we went to the movies and saw Harry Potter. We went with friends which always makes for a better experience but this was the first time we went to the Cinetopia Theatre. You get your own reclining leather seat with an ottoman to put your feet on. You can choose to eat dinner while you wait and they bring it right to your seat. I ordered the avocado sandwich and it was soooooooo good. I can't even describe how good this sandwich was. Again, no pictures...are you sensing a theme?

Man! Sounds like you guys had a blast! I'm so happy for you. Congratulations on your 14th. Wow, I can't believe you've been married that long! Where does the time go???
Happy Anniversary Mark and Karen! Love the pictures of the girls baking -- so cute!
Those cooking pics are soo adorable!
And what a cool movie theatre...I wish there was one around here like that.
So, about the housing..I didn't know that you guys didn't buy up there. I really have relaxed about our whole situation. If its meant to be it will happen, if not, then we'll rent and save a LOT of money up for the next house. Plus, if it doesn't work out, I don't have to keep repairing the foreclosure. :0
We totally forgot about the Pioneer Day Celebration - it looks like you had fun, though!
Cinetopia is the best. I'm seriously envious of your avocado sandwich - I'm allergic :)
