I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love how more laid back the holidays are with not having family close by to visit. I do miss the visits but I don't miss the rushing about.
We did the usual re-enactment of the birth of Christ on Christmas Eve. I had my phone handy and took one picture, but being the angel and a shepherd made it hard to get lots of pictures in.
Afterwards, I was messing around with the head band and I guess that called for Mark to jump into action with the camera. This look says it all...
This look says, "Mine and don't you touch them!"
I heard Kenny coughing around 4AM and couldn't go back to sleep so I decided to just get up and get some reading in. Kenny apparently woke up around 2 and was playing with his gift from Santa. He even had the nerve to try to get into his stocking once I was up which I promptly told him NO! We finally woke everyone else up around 7:00AM

Don't let this look fool you, she loved getting an orange and ate it straight away.
We had 3 more Zhu Zhu pets join our family. The total is now four. Too cute...
Carley has become quite the impressive reader. She loved getting books.
Kenny wasted no time digging into his new K'nex.
And I'm seen here enjoying my new Snuggie while eating Lauren's play-doh ice cream creation.
Later in the day we got together with some friends for dinner. We had lots of fun which is not hard to do with such great company!

Carley said during the day that she was disappointed that we didn't get a turkey. I didn't quite understand since Mark actually cooked a turkey for dinner. Carley did clarify that she meant turkey as in bowling, meaning three in a row. We didn't get snow on Christmas day which would have been three Christmas' in a row but we did get a white Christmas in the way of thick frost.

We hope you guys had a joyous Christmas filled with love and laughter. And hopefully we can all continue to focus on our Savior the whole year through.

The kids got to open one present before bed...pajamas!

Ha! Those headband picutes are hillarious!
Glad you had such a great Christmas!
Looks like you all had a great time. By the way, you did an amazing job in sacrament today, I couldn't tell at all that you have "stage fright". Great job.
I love the frost pictures! What a nice Christmas! Glad it was so "merry." :)
Looks like a great Christmas! I have the exact same Old Navy grey striped shirt you have on in the "headband" picture! What can I say, we both have great taste. Thanks for all the fun gifts for our family!
Thanks for sharing, Nephi:)
You have been so long. I can't believe how grown up Kenny is! Thanks for the Christmas card and have a happy new year!
It does look like a wonderful Christmas! We missed having you here though! Do you have any plans to visit anytime soon?
