Kenny made it to double digits! We celebrated his birthday by spending the night at an Embassy Suites in Portland. We went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory which is always delicious. The problem this night was that the waiter took way too stinking long. Kenny was anxious to get back to the hotel to open presents and swim. We decided to get up and start heading out so the waiter would get a hint. (With Mark staying at the table of course...we wouldn't skip out without paying, though it was tempting) As we were walking out the waiter finally came around with his crew to give Kenny his sundae and to sing happy birthday. Kenny wanted to get going so we told them sorry and went out to the car. I was a little peeved! Anyway, we got back to the hotel to open presents. Kenny loved what he got even though he didn't get the $400 Millennium Falcon that he really wanted.

Off to the pool. We swam a couple of times while we were there.

One of the many perks with Mark traveling is that he gets to use his points to get us hotel rooms for free or with huge discounts. This time he also got us an upgrade with getting an executive suite which had a conference room attached. We brought our projector and Wii and played using the white board in the conference room.

We are so glad to have Kenny in our family and that he would choose to do something fun with his family instead of having a party at home with friends. He is a joy! There is never a dull moment with him around and we are so glad he's ours.
I almost forgot...we bought a white chocolate rasberry cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory to have back at the hotel. It was soooooo good!!!

I can remember when he was born. :) I was in eighth grade and I remember telling my friends at school that my sister just had a baby! I'm glad he came to your family too! He seems like a good one! And I'd really be interested in seeing that OUCH book in person! Looks interesting! ;) That was a cool idea to bring the Wii! How fun!
Happy B-day Kenny! Looks like you guys had a blast. :)
Happy Birthday Kenny! Good luck on working towards that $400 Millenium Falcon!
Happy Birthday Kenny! We sure miss ya!!!
PS. Karen, your kids are so dang cute I can hardly stand it!
Happy Birthday, Kenny!! I can't believe he's 10! That really looks like the coolest birthday party EVER!!!! (I'm with you about being peeved at the waiter, though. For me, the tip goes down every minute we have to wait....)
