We were way excited for the first derby...somewhat excited for the second...and it seemed we just went through the motions for the third. Mark jokingly asked Kenny if we could just send down an unpainted block of wood with wheels. Kenny must have gotten the idea that a VW Van wouldn't be much different. He made his "peace" vehicle and was very happy with it.
Go VW!!!
Lauren of course made fast friends with some activity age girls that were there. She really thinks she is big and mature.

My oldest was the same way with his third pinewood derby... Even more so! He didn't even bother making a car! I liked Kenny's VW. Too cute. And so fun to see so many familiar faces in the pictures, too!! We sure miss the FL ward!!

I had to laugh about the car thing. I actually used Weston's car that he made as a kid instead of making my own when the YW did it. They can be a ton of work!
