I went on a field trip with Carley's class on Friday. Don't ask me why but the field trip was attending a Timbers soccer game. It was fun so I'm really not complaining but what were they supposed to learn other than it can be miserable to sit in the full sun with temps in the 80's when you are used to the 60's or below. I personally loved it but the kids...did not!
Number two was a short little guy but boy could he jump and hustle. He was seriously so quick!
This "mascot" would start his saw every once and a while to really get the crowd going.

On Saturday we took a trip to our favorite summer spot. You know, the place I blog about every year. The place where we walk DOWN this long walk to get to the sandy beach along the river. Well, we've had so much rain that Cottonwood Beach was completely flooded. If I remember later on in the summer, I'll post what this is supposed to look like.
A great picnic spot right? At least the food would be dry. hahaha

Wow! I can't believe how flooded Cottonwood Beach was! Amazing! GREAT pictures, though. So fun. Your kids have such great expressions. I also wonder the same thing you do about what the POINT of a soccer game field trip is, but I'm glad you got to go and have fun anyway. :)
