What has Pinterest done for me?

I've been asked what all the hype is about Pinterest.  Well let me just tell you!  It is a virtual pin board to collect all your things.  Long gone are the folders of Interior Design ideas or anything else you've ripped out of magazines, Bookmarks of favorite quotes, computer book marks of favorite sites.  What's wrong with bookmarking sites?  Well for instance, I had a bookmark folder for all the crochet projects I wanted to do in the future.  When it came time to find it, I would have to look up each one individually to find the exact pattern I was looking for (takes along time when I've accumulated 15 hat patterns).  With Pinterest, I have the pictures to help me QUICKLY find the one I had in mind.  I click on the picture and it takes me to the site it came from.  Easy peasy right?!  The best part is friending all those talented people out there and seeing (and stealing) all of their pins and projects.

Here is a little sampling of the things I've made from ideas that came from Pinterest;

Silhouettes

I may have found this purse pattern before I joined Pinterest, but ideas on changing them up have come from Pinterest.

The next three ideas were used for our Super Saturday.  This countdown chain is made from fabric so it can be used each year.

 Decorated Clothes Pins to hang up Christmas Cards.

Different ways to make fabric flowers.

Onto CROCHET!

So I didn't make these hot pads, but I did make some and gave them away.

Ok, so the pattern for these slippers actually came from a friend and not Pinterest but I just had to show them off in my crochet segment.  :)

Another way to make felt flowers was used on this headband...

And this wreath.  I used two different ideas from Pinterest to finish off the wreath.

This table centerpiece will be changed up each season.  Next I plan to replace the rose petals with some aged Easter eggs.  I will also get rid of the red berries.  In the spring, I'll be able to use real flowers in the center.

Lauren and Carley got dolls for Christmas.  Buying clothes for them is expensive.  I searched for free doll patterns on Pinterest and dug out some scrap fabric and...

I also use Pinterest to find different fitness workouts.  I've used a couple workouts this week!

I've yet to try out some recipes I've found but you know me and cooking...I HATE it!!!

There is also lots of LDS helps too.  I made these microwavable hot pads to go with this month's Visiting Teaching Message (Eliza Snow's Quote about finding those who are feeling cold and warming them up.)

I HEART PINTEREST!!!

(I thought about posting the pictures/sites that all these ideas came from for you but let's face it, I'm lazy.  Just join Pinterest and check out my boards.  I'm sure you'll recognize where the inspiration came from.)
