I was so glad to have gone as it was really fun to see all the things you could do for exercise. Some of the things were straight forward but others were unique. I tried to take pictures of those.
One school started the night off by riding unicycles and did a routine if you will to music.
It was hard to catch a picture with them in motion. Here is one were they rode through these women who were swinging a jump rope.
This school below had a whole jump rope routine. These kids were jump roping on Pogo sticks!
Four square volleyball anyone? If the ball dropped on your side or you hit it out of bounds, all the teams routed towards the top square. You wanted to stay at the top and not move to the loser square.
Carley's group jumped with jump bands. She had to jump for over 3 minutes. I got exhausted just watching!
This group played angry birds volleyball. The goal was to knock down the "angry birds" that were protected behind the hoola-hoops. Great practice for bumping I thought.
Leave it to a male PE teacher to come up with this one called Barricade Dodgebee. The kids had to run through the Barricade without getting hit with these soft Frisbees. You could tell the boys really got into it while the girls were terrified to run through. They would switch off with who gets to throw or run.
At the end, all the students went down for the line dance. Don't worry, they turn around to dance towards both sides during the dance. Carley cracked me up every time she'd turn around and found me. What a ham!
Hope you enjoyed it. Now go out and play!!!

You're right--you could go all through school without hearing about this unless one of your kids participates. I think Belinda did one year. Or maybe it was Preston. We did go one year, and it was SO COOL!!! This one looks just as cool.
P.S. I REALLY miss that school district!! The one we live in is nationally ranked, blah, blah, blah, but it's not nearly as good as the one we left!
