Arizona and the Gilbert Temple

We were gifted a trip to Arizona for Christmas.  With the Gilbert Temple being opened for tours, we just had to go in Jan/Feb.

We happened to choose to go on one of the windiest day.  It was a good thing we didn't have to wait in line long.  The Temple was breathtakingly beautiful.  I wish we could take pictures of the inside.  One of my favorite "themes" throughout was the stained glass, which you can see from the outside.

We got to meet for the first time our newest niece and nephew.

Mark's parents moved into a new house since our last visit.  They now have a pool.  Kenny was convinced with the 70 degree temperature outside that the pool couldn't possibly be colder than the Columbia River that they play in in the summer.  He may have been wrong...

We also got to spend lots of time with family.  Saturday morning we went to a bounce house place.  Way fun!!!

Never too big right?

Saturday afternoon was volleyball time with the Brown's

We also celebrated a 1st birthday.

This next picture cracks me.  There was a free cushion to the right (before the baby joined for book reading) and Jen chooses to squeeze right in between Dad and Heather.

The best is always spending time with family.  We sat around and chatted, went shopping watched movies and the adults went to Tia Rosa's for dinner one night. Thanks for a good time everyone!

Oh, what a fantastic trip!! Looks SO FUN!!! I have a lot of friends (on FB) who have posted about the Gilbert temple, and I know all temples are beautiful, but I just keep hearing over and over how AMAZING it is. So glad you got to go!!
