Christmas

I'm not gonna lie, this Christmas was shaping up to be kind of a bummer. First off, if you didn't know, Mark lost his job in the fall. With no job and his severance running out at the end of December, we didn't do Christmas presents. Mark had set aside some money for a Wii U. So that's what the kids got, the Wii U with the game that comes with it, and we bought one additional game. Stockings? yes, we did those too but only the bare minimum which was the hygiene necessities.

I think a few friends took pity on us because we had two surprising Secret Santa presents that were dropped off as well.

I almost forgot. A friend of a friend was getting rid of her son's Ninjago stuff (it was A LOT). Some of that got passed onto us as well.

One of the Secret Santa boxes. Stockings for the kids.  :-)

Someone knows Kenny.

The kids' response? Carley said it was the best Christmas ever! We told them they weren't going to get anything so they expected nothing. They were surprised they received a few gifts.

We did enjoy our modest Christmas which actually allowed us more time to focus on Christ.

We spent Christmas day with the Foltz/Cook family again. Yay for them not getting sick of us on Thanksgiving!

It turned out to be a very nice and Merry Christmas.

The best Christmas of all was finding out on Christmas Eve that Mark was hired to work at Beyond Soft!!!
