Sunny Days!

I'll warn you, this post will probably boring for most. I'm mainly posting for parents and others who are interested in our life in an area so different from Arizona.

So we have had the pleasant surprise of having sunny days for the last week with sunny days in the forecast for this week. We thought when the rain started in September, that it was the end to seeing the sun until April or May. It has been nice to feel the heat of the sun on our skins again. But with the clear skies, comes colder night temperatures. We woke up to some frost a couple of days ago. Lauren thought it was snow. The kids really enjoyed the frost. Here are a few pictures.
Mark also is enjoying clear skies for driving to and from work. He took the camera one day so he could take pictures of his view of the Columbia River and Mt. Hood on his drive home. He crosses a long bridge to get from Washington to Oregon and back. The sky is a little hazy but I think you can get an idea of how beautiful it is here. Usually Mt. Hood is covered in clouds so this is a rare site unless it is summer.

You are so lucky to be in such a beautiful place. My goodness, what a comparison to our drab brown! I'm sure you will be complaining about the wet and cold after a couple months of it. Everywhere has its ups and downs. Enjoy the sunshine.
