An Enjoyable Visit

Mark's parents came for a visit a couple of weeks ago and it was a joy. We always like it when they visit! Unfortunately, few pictures were taken by us to document all the fun. We did the usual "get a babysitter and have the adults go out" one night, including Michael and Bekah. They introduced us to the game of Dominion...so fun. We also all got together for Memorial day. We had great food, played wii and the kids played outside in water.

We went to Lewisville Park (our favorite) to skip rocks in the river and play on the playground. Of course we had to eat again at Fatty Patty's too...it's not called Fatty Patty's for nothing.

Carley took this picture...she's getting pretty good.

We ended our fun by taking Mark's parents up to Seattle so they could catch their Alaskan cruise. On our way up we stopped at the Museum of Flight...such an amazing place with great planes and information on world war one and two. We also stopped in at the Pike's Market Place...always an adventure. After we said our goodbyes (especially hard because they will be leaving for their mission to Russia at the end of this month) we went to the Science Fiction and Music Museum. We had fun but we're not impressed. I have to include that the kids enjoyed lots of swimming at the hotel. On our way home we took a small detour to visit Mount St. Helens. Quite an amazing sight to behold. Unbelievable the amount of damage and change that explosion brought, even 30 years later. As usual it was an enjoyable time.

What great pictures!! Sounds like such a fun time. I'm glad you got to Mt. St. Helens, too--that is one of my favorite places to go around here. I am just awed every time. Didn't know Mark's parents are going to Russia--how cool!! Good for them. :) Hard for you, but hopefully the time will go fast.
