In Mourning

Yep, we are in mourning...Grandpa and Grandma Ray left today.  We had an amazing time visiting and exploring with them.  Even though we had horrendous weather which cancelled a trip we had plan during their visit, we still had fun spending time together.

We had a snow day for their first day here (see earlier post) and that night was Kenny's Blue and Gold.  Grandpa and Grandma were good sports to go with us.  We are so glad they didn't catch the flu bug that wiped out five families that had attended the Blue & Gold two days later, including Carley and Lauren.
Friday, the day before the flu bug hit, we went to OMSI.  Ancient Egypt was the new attraction.  No pictures were allowed except for with this camel...
Here are some other fun OMSI activities:

That night the adults went out to eat at Jake's Famous Crawfish.  It was oh, so good!

The next week was a mix of the usual...church, work and school...mixed in with some fun stuff like shopping, visiting, FHE with Afton and her family, Temple, RS Enrichment, Book Fair, Volunteering at the school followed by frozen yogurt, Dance 2 and more.  We must have been too busy to pull out the camera.  This brings us to today and our good-byes.  sniff sniff  It is always great to have visitors and Grandma and Grandpa are among the BEST!  We felt so spoiled and loved.  We will miss them tons.  Thank you, thank you for coming!!!

To fill up our sad, sad afternoon, we went to a local POW WOW.  We have some good friends in our ward who were a big part of the event.  Miranda, our girls favorite babysitter, was one of the dancers.  It was a joy to see her, her sisters and cousin dancing their traditional Indian dance.  These pictures were taken with my phone from high up.  Sorry about the quality.

Miranda grabbed Kenny, Carley and Lauren for one of the dances.
Miranda is in the middle with her youngest sister who is in Kenny's primary class on the right.

What a GREAT grandma & grandpa visit!! OMSI looks fun, as usual. Egypt would have been such a cool exhibit to see. I love the camel picture!!!! The pow wow looks like a neat thing to be able to go to, too. What fun you've had lately! :)
