Carley Turns 9

A lot has happened the last month or so, so let's get blogging!

First up, Carley has had a birthday.  We wanted to really celebrate when Grandpa and Grandma Ray arrived a few days later so on Carley's actual birthday, we just did presents, cake and ice cream.

Tic-Tacs were Lauren's gift to Carley.  Carley was ecstatic!

Carley has been asking for a scooter for years but we really wanted her to learn to ride her bike (which we got her years ago).  She will have nothing to do with it so we finally got her a scooter.  Is 9 too old for a scooter?

Carley wanted a Puffle cake from Club Penguin.  She helped with the design and frosting.  It was a fun project to do with her and it turned out cute.

When Grandpa and Grandma got here two days later, Carley chose her usual to celebrate...Red Robin and Big Al's.

The Bowlers...

Off to the Arcade.

Can you tell Air Hockey was the main event?!

Some other adventures that were done during G & G's visit were visiting Mt. St. Helens...

and the boys went shooting.

Kenny got a big surprise when Mark picked him up from school to go shooting.

The scenery

We did many things during the visit that were not documented by pictures such as:  Shopping, Dining, Games, Reading, Movies, Court of Honor, RS General Broadcast, Primary Program, Powell's Book Store, Fishing, Farmers Market and more.

The last day, we got the kids out of school early to go to one more of our favorite places...Lewisville Park.  My personal favorite was skipping rocks.  Grandpa had the most amazing skip I've ever seen.  The rock made it all the way across the river with (no exaggeration) about 10-11 skips.  It was amazing!

The merry-go-round

The fuzzy caterpillar

It was another great visit.  We look forward to them coming again in December.  It can't get here fast enough!

You take the best pictures ever! :) Happy Birthday, Carley!! Maybe we should try a scooter for Ethan--he is not a big fan of the bike. The party looks so fun. DARLING cake, too! She looks so happy in all the pictures. I love the Tic Tac gift, too. My kids have been doing stuff like that lately, and I just love it. (Oreos, Cheetos, etc.) So sweet. And I LOVE Mt. St. Helens!! Such an amazing place to visit! You got a good day for it.
