Christmas 2012

Well, it's officially one month since we left to drive to AZ for Christmas...it's about time I blog about it.

It was a long, LONG drive but so worth it.  On Monday (Christmas Eve) we had a brunch at the Madsen's. We also played "Minute to Win it".  This was also when the throw-ups began!  What fun to mingle and share.  hahaha!

We met the new SIL Diane.

We were reacquainted with these crazy gals!

Met our newest nephew who is almost one.

 Watch out for Dal!

Heather, you are a brave one!

Almost forgot the gingerbread houses!

Christmas!
Our Christmas to each other was this trip, so no presents.  We did have stockings to open though.

Let the presents from G&G begin!

 Yes, our girls are divided.

While in AZ we visited the Temple to see the lights.  This is one tradition I really miss while in Washington.

These trees looked like they were on fire.

We caught the throw-ups the day after Christmas.  Lauren was first...two days later was Mark and Carley was the next day.  We were very nervous driving home as Kenny and I had not yet caught the bug.  Luckily we were spared.  I can't imagine trying to drive home two days with the throw-ups.  Because we had some who were sick, our plans became more mellow and we had to divide as a family.  I visited with my side of the family all of Wednesday.  I went to Les Mes with my sister and her husband.  Then the majority of my extended family met up for dinner at Jason's Deli.  My family did not grow up playing volleyball together but most of us play regularly now so we went to a church building and played together for several hours.  It was so much fun!  I was sad Mark couldn't join us.  He stayed with the sick Lauren.  If I ever get copies from my sister, I'll post pictures of our volleyball games later.

Mark went shooting with his brothers one day and we went out to eat with family a couple of days.  It's been so long, I can't remember what else we did.  We mostly visited and relaxed.  It was a great Christmas and vacation!

What a (mostly) fun trip! :) I love all the photos, and the lights at the temple are awesome!! I would miss that, too. Sorry about the throw-ups, but I'm happy for you that you didn't get it! Whew!
