Birthday Follow-up

Lauren ended up having a great birthday, though it didn't start so well. We missed a phone call from Grandma and Grandpa in Ukraine. Lauren's birthday cake was giving me trouble. It was crumbling and breaking as I was trying to shape it. Anyway, I ran out of frosting so we jump in the car to go to the store. The car was not moving too well so I pull over. I had a completely flat tire! So we get out and walk home in the rain (not too far, we were still in the neighborhood). After work, Mark was able to come home and save the day. Lauren at this point was saying that her birthday was not fun. We of course hadn't opened any presents and the cake was needing some love. By 6:30p.m. we eventually got it all together. Lauren loved all of her presents and her "purse" birthday cake.
