A Visit From Tyler and Tiffani

Tyler and Tiffani

Tyler (Mark's brother) and Tiffani came to visit on Thursday. We started the fun right away with Lauren's party complete with balloons, streamers, confetti and pizza! We also invited Michael (another brother) and Bekah over for the fun. We had a good time visiting and playing games.

On Friday, we took them to Multnomah falls. The water was rushing much faster and everything was greener then when we went in July. It was amazing to see all the green moss on the trees and to hear the thunderous water.

Saturday we took Ty and Tif to Big Al's. They have bowling, arcade games, and food (the same place we went to for Carley's birthday in September). This isn't the normal bowling alley - no smoking! It is actually a beautifully designed place. Too bad we didn't take pictures. It was really fun and Mark scored his highest score ever of 186. Go Mark!

Sunday was church day of course. It was a nice relaxing day with family and more game playing. On Monday we met up again with Michael and Bekah and drove to Tillamook in Oregon to visit the cheese factory. At the factory, you can observe the cheese making process. It was fun to watch but hard to see some of the cheese go to waste as it was getting cut into blocks and packed to go out. Such good cheese should not go to waste! They gave out cheese samples and it was delicious! We ate lunch in the cafeteria and finished it off with Tillamook ice cream, yum!!!

I guess Brynley didn't get enough to eat!

I have to mention the drive to Tillamook. We went over a mountain pass to get there. As we were going over the top, it started snowing. It was absolutely beautiful. It was a winter wonderland full of snowy trees, a winding creek, a few waterfalls and amazing views. Mark says the roads were as bad as it could get before needing chains (which we did have ready in the car). Here are a few pictures taken from within the car while moving.

After the cheese factory, we went to the coast (another 10 minutes away). Our first stop was at a little bay, so no waves. We then got into the car and went a little further to see the waves and rocks. There's nothing like visiting the ocean!

The Sister-in-laws . . . . . . . . . . . . The Brothers

The silly cousins

After we had our fill of fun, we travelled back to Michael and Bekah's and said our good-bye's. Ty and Tif will be spending their last few vacation days with them. It sure was fun having them stay with us. We hope they had as much fun as we did.

Hey Karen, found your blog, and enjoyed catching up. I especially loved seeing all those pics of spots in OR we used to take our out-of-towners to also! I miss it there, hope you are enjoying. I remember you don't like the cold. 8-) The pics looked very cold!
I'm working on a Guffey blog, I'll send you an invite soon.
