Will the warmth ever come?

I have to look at some of these brighter more flowery pictures to remind me that it is warm and beautiful here at times. I'm not sick of the rain or cloudy weather yet but I am sick of the cold. We have another cold front this weekend and we will be lucky if we get out of the 40's. It has been one of the coldest, wettest winters on record. I'm actually surprised that is was the wettest. I guess I really was expecting the worst when I moved here and so I have been pleasantly surprised that it doesn't actually rain everyday, all day long. But I am sick of the cold!!! I know I will be eating my words when I go to Arizona in 2 1/2 weeks.

Here are some pictures that I took at the end of last week when we had a nice sunny day. I've never lived in a place that has had a true fall and spring so it has been fun to see trees bloom with flowers.
I've got to find out the name of this tree. The flowers look so exotic.
I'm not used to seeing daffodils and tulips either.

You will love the weather here, it might make you homesick though. The green and trees are so pretty where you live.

Okay, that is disgustingly beautiful! If it were not for the very cold weather, I'd really hate you right now. Not really of course! You know what I mean! Hee, hee. Love ya!

The pink tree could be a Tulip tree or a species of Magnolia. Now that you know about true spring I'm sure you can understand how a person going to the desert could yearn for the month of April. Our Arizona April has been so nice this year. I won't complain too much! However living in a place where daffodils just pop up and surprise you is just wonderful!
