The best part about having the kids back in school for Mark and I is spending Fridays together. Among other errands, we went to Killer Burger where Mark tried the peanut butter, pickle and bacon burger. It was surprisingly good. We also went to Voodoo donuts (you might have seen it on the food network channel).
We brought donuts home for a healthy afternoon snack. hahaha
The kids were surprised and pleased. I was not impressed. I didn't particularly like the dough and everything else was just...normal. Not worth the wait in line, or the price.

I completely agree, it's the most over hyped place in Portland, but I'm a cup cake girl myself.

Hm. I HAVE heard of Voodoo Doughnuts, but I have never tried one. Doughnuts are tough to get "just right," I think, because they're fried. But everything's worth a try! :)
We've gone their twice for donuts and both times, we pulled in, saw the line and left immediately. I don't think any donut can be worth that wait (especially in the rain) :). Glad to know we made the right choice. I'll have to try Killer Burger though, haven't heard of that one.
