It's hard to pull myself away from the falling snow to do this post but I do have an announcement to make...my baby turned 5 yesterday!!!The day started off by hearing Lauren's sweet excited voice as she came down the stairs saying, "Mama, mama, there is snow all around. We can have a snow ball fight today!" Yes, it is snowing and we had a snow day on her birthday just like she wanted. She was also pleased to see that we did not forget the streamers and balloons (see Thanksgiving post). She only reminded us a couple of times the day before.
Despite the snow, we were still able to have her special play date with a few of her friends. And for dinner, she picked Red Robbin, her favorite and ours. She was also pleased to receive an ice cream sundae, balloons and a special song from the waiters. Of course we ended the evening with presents and cake. A pretty great day for a beautiful 5 year old girl.

Okay...see the picture on the right that says, "THREE WONDERFUL KIDS"? Yeah, THAT is how I remember your sweet kiddos...where the heck has the time gone...and WHO said they could get so much bigger!? HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your baby...err...not so much baby anymore!! She looked adorable!!

Okay, you have the most beautiful blog! :) I am glad Lauren had a great birthday! The pictures are fantastic. Sorry we missed it. (I am STILL kicking myself.) And I'm glad she got her snow wish, too!
