It's Snow Time

It's been snowing for some time now and we've been having fun. According to the people who live here, they haven't seen anything like this in a while. All last year we never had snow stick on the ground in the metro area. We've had snow consistently for a week. With all this snow, I've been able to experience a few firsts.

1. Driving in the snow. Sure I've been a passenger while others drove but never the driver. I only slid a little a couple of times...whew!

2. Built my first snowman. Does that sound sad? Yes, it was the first as far as I can remember. It was so much fun, I had to make two. Sure they were small and didn't last long, but it was fun.

We went out to play in it last night before the big freeze. It was hard to take pictures because the snow was not letting up. In the middle of the night we started getting the freezing rain that froze upon contact. Our windows on one side of the house now look like they are meant to be textured glass like you would see on some shower windows or at church. It is pretty cool.

Church got cancelled today so we are just hanging out watching the beauty of it all. Here are a "few" pictures to enjoy.

We sure hope we thaw out in a couple of days so we can fly out of here and see some sun!

Okay, those are FANTASTIC pictures!! I love it. I know--I cannot believe it is STILL snowing! We've been here 12 years and have never seen anything like this--it never lasts this long, and we never get this much! We had "church" windows on the east side of our house, too. REALLY something!! :) I hope you can get out for your trip, but I'm glad you got to make your first snowman. :)

Well we had to go to Panguitch to hit the snow, but my Abby is a secret snowbunny! Had a blast, but didn't mind returning to 78 degree weather... Don't talk to me in July though!
