Snow, Snow, Snow, That's All I See

Are you sick of hearing about all the snow? Us too!

Because our weather is not changing (at least for the next few days), and almost all flights are getting cancelled, we decided to fly out to AZ Saturday evening instead. It has been really stressful wondering if our flight will be cancelled or not. If our flight was to be cancelled we would then fall in line behind all these people currently stuck at the airport and might not get a flight until Monday. We are feeling good about the decision we made yesterday because we are currently getting pounded with snow by a "weak disturbance" with the heavy disturbance yet to come today. In the afternoon we are expected to get freezing rain followed by more snow and have it all freeze over tonight, which is the most treacherous part. I can't believe this weather! We have been breaking all kinds of records. We didn't get snow that stuck to the ground once last year. This is totally crazy. So we are making it easy on us to not stress out on two important days (Christmas Eve and Christmas) by staying put and enjoying the snow rather then cursing at it. Well...at least I'm not cursing it. This is causing all sorts of problems for Mark's drivers at work.

We'll see you all in Arizona eventually...

Have a very Merry Christmas!

Here is a picture of what happens with the freezing rain...

I love the picture!! That is really cool. Yes, I'm sick of hearing about the snow, but I'm "sick-er" of seeing it! :) Good idea to leave on Saturday. I think instead of calling it a "weak disturbance" we should call it a "WEEK'S disturbance" (maybe 2)!

The weather up north is CRAZY!!! I hope your trip works out. I'm so glad we are in AZ where things are nice and we might get a little rain if anything. I mowed the lawn yesterday..nothing like fresh mowed grass in December, plus it only takes like 15 minutes to mow it.
Merry Christmas!

Crazy! One good thing is that at least you are stuck at home and not in some random airport. I hope you get to enjoy some better weather down in AZ. I wish we were there!
