Well, Kenny is another year older and hopefully wiser. ;)
Kenny's current love is Pokemon so we had a pokemon birthday. We always give our kids a choice of either having a party with friends or doing something extra fun with just the family. We haven't had a friends party in quite along time. I chalk it up to the fact that we really enjoy each other's company (I can dream right?). Anyway, Kenny choose to have a slumber party with 3 of his friends. We choose only 3 friends so that they could play 4 person Wii games and everyone could play every game. It worked out perfectly. I attempted to make a pokeball cake and the kids played Smash Brothers Brawl (which has some pokemon characters). We ended the night with a Pokemon movie. It was a lot of fun!!!
The picture's where Kenny is wearing his "smooth like butta" shirt are from his actual birthday day. The rest are from the party.

Karen, you do some really great things with your family. They might not appreciate all of the trips right now, but they will in time.
I think Jason would totally approve of Kenny's choice to have friends over to play games!! I think you are a very wise parent to have friends come to YOUR home to play with YOUR children.
