I finally saw Twilight. I was so disappointed with who they casted for Edward, that I refused to pay to see the movie. I borrowed the movie from a friend and I thought it wasn't too bad, probably because my expectations were so low. It was pretty painful to watch the actor who played Edward. I thought he did a really poor job. Both Mark and I (yes, Mark watched it with me) thought it was like watching all the bad acting in the Star Wars movies. The make-up was really bad too but as the story moved along, I found myself overlooking it. I really liked Bella. I've only seen the actress who played Bella in one other movie (Zathura) and her character was really not likable in that one. I found myself actually liking her character better than I did in the books. All in all, I must have liked it because when it was over, I found myself wanting the rest of the books to be played out.

karen- that's so interesting! i couldn't stand bella but i can overlook edwards terrible acting because i blame it on the director (it could be that i think he is handsome so i just give him more leway:)) and it is way more palpable to watch if you don't have any expectations.
I'm not saying she did a fab job acting I just like what she brought to the character which I didn't when reading the books. I hated Bella in the books.
All the acting pretty much stunk and I agree that it had more to do with the directing than anything else. The only character I really liked in the first one was Jacob. I can't wait to see more from him.
I haven't seen it yet, but that's mainly because my desire isn't that high! I thought the book was average, and I'm thinkin' the movie will be average, too. If someone hands it to me, I'll watch it.
Nooo! Don't say that! It was the best movie ever! I can't believe you would say Robert Pattison did a poor Edward! *shrieks*
