We just had a small thunderstorm! It made me feel at home!! I sure miss monsoon season in Arizona. Kenny picked out this picture to post. He says he misses the lightning too.

I jumped out at Kenny and said "Boo". He looked startled and I asked him if I scared him. He says, "No, I just got concerned."

"The pink one is a smooth cool down." Kenny describing how "refreshing" the pink yogo was compared to the other colors that were too sour.

"You're messing with my privacy." She said this because I was facebooking about a comment she had made.

"If Lauren was water, I could drink her, pee her out in the toilet and flush her down."

As we were driving in the car one day, Carley (out of the blue) says, "I know why we have ears." I ask her why and she says, "So we can hear when Jesus speaks to us." It was so sweet!

"Of the boss of me's, you're my favorite." She said this to Mark when I was in Arizona for Harmony's wedding.
She also said the same thing about a babysitter: "Are we going to have a boss of me tonight?"

"Bikes are pretty much evil, but I ride them because it's fun!"

Lauren has a really shiny purse. The sun was shining through the window on the purse and made lights shine everywhere like a disco ball. Lauren noticed and said, "Now when we want to dance, I just need to get my purse and we will have 'boogie lights'."

"I can tell I'm growing up because there are strings growing out of my arms."
January 2008
Lauren was telling her dad about a bird she saw at a friends house. Mark asked her, "What kind of bird, what did it look like?" Lauren responded, "The ones with a beak."

Carley asked Lauren to play "hot lava" with her. Lauren responded, "I don't like hot. Let's play warm lava instead."
September 2007
"You fuddy duddy!" She said this to me while holding my face with both her hands so she could look me in the eye.

It has been really stormy here in Lynchburg too! I love listening to the thunder although I still don't think it's as loud as it is in AZ during a monsoon storm. Still, I love summer storms!

ahhh the monsoons....i don't know if i would miss them....
I LOVE the Monsoon season. Although, monsoons in MESA are VERY different from monsoons in GOODYEAR...we don't hardly get ANY rain during the summer...I miss it a lot!! I do think I'd take your weather over monsoons though!!:)
We miss that too. We'd LOVE to sit and watch the lighting during monsoon season. Aww...now I'm home sick.

The one summer we spent in AZ, it barely rained!! They said it was the driest summer. And of course it was the hottest summer on record! Who can blame us for running back to CO? Colorado Summers have rain or thunderstorms a lot. I love it!
I dig them when I'm inside watching out my bedroom window, NOT when I'm driving on the freeway. I'd take Flagstaff anyday~
